Lyle Vincent
Lyle Vincent has traveled the world as a still photographer and an award winning Director of Photography. He graduated form the NYU TISCH School of the Arts grad film program where he specialized in cinematography. In 2007, he was recipient of the ASC John Alonzo Heritage award. This was a wonderful time for him to meet and learn from some of the best DoPs in the world. It was also when he met his agent Ann Murtha who represents many of these top ASC cinematographers. Soon after this he began working on feature films shooting additional photography and second unit. He also found his way to mainland China to shoot the critically acclaimed and commercially successful feature film aka Heave Eternal Earth Everlasting. The film, praised for its beautiful 35mm widescreen photography, premiered at the 2009 Tokyo Film festival and went on to a large release and box office in mainland China.
Lyle’s most recent work includes the Gotham Award-winning film A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, which was also nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for best cinematography. He has collaborated with many distinguished directors including: Laura Belsey, Bruce Dowad, Rich Wafer, Phil Van and Jason Zada. Notable in his commercial work is the five part series Brightfalls for the xbox video game Alan Wake. Each ten minute series made up a featurette that served as a prequel to the games story line. The series was also the winner of 2011 One Show Silver Pencil and D&DA Yellow Pencil Awards. Lyle is a native of northeast Connecticut and is based out of New York City but also works out of Los Angeles. He is represented by The Murtha Agency.
